Set in Western Indian Territory just after the turn of the 20th Century, the spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the backdrop for the love story between Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a beautiful farm girl. The road to true love is anything but smooth, but there is no doubt that these two romantics will succeed in making a life together. The Buckrose Concert Band is a non-profit community band formed in 2006 by the late Malcolm Heywood and has been under the baton of his daughter Becca Heywood ever since. Becca is an accomplished musician in her own right and also a talented stage performer. The band is a registered charity and comprises woodwind, brass and percussion. The band has a membership of nearly sixty musicians!

The performance will be a fun and lively concert of film and musical favourites. This will include show pieces from such as Oklahoma!
